As a result of March 6 parliamentary elections only three out of the twenty three contestants passed the threshold of representation — Party of Communists (45.98% votes, 56 mandates), Moldova Democrata Bloc (28.53% votes, 34 mandates), Christian-Democratic Peoples’ Party (9.07% votes, 11 mandates). The rest 20 contestants who failed to pass the threshold were cast 16.42% votes that would be redistributed to the former three according to the d’Hondt formula.
Voter turnout 64.84% of the total number of voters included in the voter rolls.
