The Chisinau Constituency Election Council (CECC) registered the following independent candidates for the Chisinau mayor post — Iuliana Gorea-Costin, chairwoman of the European Association of Political Strategies; Dumitru Braghis, deputy chairman of the parliamentary faction representing the Alliance Our Moldova; Mihai Severovan, chairman of the employers’ association of public services in Moldova.
