The Chisinau Constituency Election Council (CECC) registered two candidates for the Chisinau mayor post — Vladimir Garaba, on behalf of the Green Alliance Party, and Dorin Chirtoaca, on behalf of the Liberal Party.
The electronic media watchdog CCA obliged radio and television channels to broadcast electoral advertising. The private radio and TV channels could decide alone over broadcasting of electoral advertising at the recent parliamentary elections.
